King's Leadership in London
Co-hosted by the President & Principal, Professor Edward Byrne AC, and Deborah Bull, Assistant Principal (London) on 22 February 2018 with London’s policy-makers and political leaders, as well as King’s students, alumni, partners and collaborators from across London.
London Leads: The Capital Challenges, King’s Responds
Last year King’s College London set out its strategic vision for the years leading up to the university’s 200th anniversary, Vision 2029. London is central to the vision – our ambition is to be of London, not just in it, and to maximise the university’s contribution to the health, wellbeing and success of the capital.
The event will aim to explore London’s policy challenges, showcase the breadth and depth of King's expertise in these areas, and highlight the potential for greater collaboration between academics and policy-makers in addressing these, as well as our institutional commitment to becoming a ‘civic university at the heart of London’.
As part of a panel discussion, we will hear from leading academics at King's whose work on London is helping to drive new approaches to the capital’s challenges including Professor Frank Kelly and Professor Charles Wolfe.
22 February, 18.00-21.00
