To assist Public Health England in delivering its objectives and functions for the protection of public health by:
- Creating a tripartite collaboration where world class environmental hazard research, focussed on the needs of the public, can thrive;
- Using our cutting edge analytical abilities to focus on four priority areas – low level biological and chemical environmental exposures, ionising and non-ionising radiation, air pollution and nanoparticle toxicity to disentangle the complex role of the environment on disease development;
- Providing high quality research evidence to inform decision making by public health professionals.
