Dr Fuyuen Yip

Dr. Fuyuen Yip is the Chief of the Emergency Management, Radiation, and Chemical Branch (EMRCB) in the National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). EMRCB is a new unit that encompasses environmental public health tracking, health studies and field investigations, radiation studies, disaster epidemiology, and chemical emergencies and weapons elimination.

Dr. Yip joined the CDC as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer in 2004. She then led the Air Pollution and Asthma Epidemiology Team in the Air Pollution Respiratory Health Branch, NCEH, from 2008 through 2015. From 2016 to 2018, she oversaw the National Environmental Public Health Tracking Program; its mission is to provide information from a nationwide network of integrated health and environmental data that drives actions to improve the health of communities.

Dr. Yip received her MPH from Yale University School of Public Health and PhD in environmental health science from the University Of Michigan School Of Public Health.
